Abstract
An analysis is made of ..pi..N scattering in the IHEP and FNAL energy regions in terms of the generalized reaction matrix. Good agreement with the existing experimental data is obtained. Predictions are given for the polarization in elastic scattering and in the charge-exchange reaction.
