Abstract
A novel method for the introduction of nitric oxide group to transition metals, viz. Re (IV), Mo(IV), Pd(IV), Mn(IV), U(IV), and Co(III), is described. The method involves the passage of gaseous nitric oxide through a hot suspension of hydrated metallic oxides in aqueous hydrochloric acid. (auth)
