Abstract
Construction contract risk for international power projects remains an issue for developers working with engineering and construction companies experiencing project finance structured deals for the first time. Project developers continue to discover that international power projects are fraught with a myriad of problems that are not encountered in US markets. In particular, addressing and managing construction contract risks associated with international power project development have proven to be recurring problems when developers engage non-US engineering and construction companies.
