Abstract
Evaluation of the new Brookhaven National Laboratory Generator for the production of iodine/sup 132/ indicates it to be a simple and safe unit for general use. The I/sup 132/ solution obtained from the generator is free of significant radioactive and chemical contamination by direct tests. Radiation calculations for internal administration in humans suggest that I/sup 132/ reduces the radiation exposure by a significant amount as compared to I/sup 131/. (auth)
