Abstract
A cosmic-ray experiment is described which employs ground-based detection techniques at two independent stations, separately by 250 km. The objective is to search for coincident or correlated bursts of high energy ..gamma..-rays (> or =10/sup 12/ eV) over characteristic emission time scales of between 10 ..mu..s and 1 s. The combined results of three years of observations are presented. The search proved negative over the time scales in question and for system sensitivities approx.5 x 10/sup -5/ ergs cm/sup -2/.
