Abstract
Calculational techniques have been developed to extend the lithium/copper proton diagnostic technique (established by R.J. Leeper) to arbitrary experimental geometries. In addition, some of the limitations, assumptions, and approximations are examined and their impact on the diagnostic's accuracy are indicated. This report contains a general review of the essential elements in a form which will make it easy to apply this diagnostic to future experiments.
