Abstract
Some basic problems in nuclear physics that may receive positive response from electro- and photonuclear research are discussed. Future directions for this research are outlined, and some specific experimental proposals compiled by a study group under the sponsorship of the Bates (MIT) Users Group are described. 1 table.
