Abstract
The first results are presented from a new experimental system that is capable of measuring evaporation residue products to very small angles and of measuring the distributions in M and Z of these products. Evaporation residue total and differential cross section from krypton 86 bombardment of a series of targets, copper 65, zirconium 90, and silver 109 are presented, and the results compared to calculations from a statistical model of compound nuclear decay which allows for competition between fission and light particle evaporation.
