Abstract
The use of fissile material dispersed in liquid bismuth in solution or as a slurry and of fertile material as a slurry are proposed. The metallurgical properties of such systems are described. Relevant basic information and recent experimental work and its interpretation are reviewed to assess the probable behavior of these systems under reactor conditions. (auth)
