Abstract
Film specimens of five polymeric dielectrics used as electrical insulating materials were irradiated in a vacuum capacitor. The volume resistivity of the investigated polymeric dielectrics placed in a beam of bremsstrahlung radiation from a betatron (60 r/min at a distance of 1 m) decreases discontinuously by two to three orders of magnitude and following the cessation of radiation it increases to a new value dependent on the half-day dosage. Neutron effects are also reported. (auth)
