Abstract
Induction heating is used in many industries to save energy and labor and because installation is simplified. An induction heating cycloconvertic is described that uses a parallel resonant tank circuit as the auxiliary power source for commutation. The feasible range of filter inductance was studied. Since the reactive power of the cycloconverter is controllable, the proposed circuit appears to be feasible for induction heating.
