Abstract
In this article, multiple model switching controller was proposed to regulate the motion modes of a linear time-invariant system. Frequency domain of a linear time-invariant system is divided into a finite number of subregions; for each frequency domain subinterval, a single motion mode is picked by the modal decomposition of linear time-invariant system’s dynamic equations. Multiple model switching controller picks a subset of motion modes among the members of the model set by comparing the total energy stored in each mode and only those most active modes are regulated. Thus, a reduced-order dynamic model of linear time-invariant system is designed and regulated.
