Abstract
Stress fractures are common lesions that occur without trauma or focal abnormality. Such fractures seem to occur more frequently, due to both increased sport participation and improved identification by imaging techniques. Stress fracture of the tarsal navicular occurs especially in young persons who participate in athletics. The authors report the case of a patient who was hospitalized for a stress fracture of the tarsal navicular complicated by non-union. This diagnosis was made on clinical and radiological data. The treatment consisted of an osteosynthesis by 2 lived spongy associated with a spongy transplant. The evolution has been favorable with a drop of one year. To remind the diagnostic and therapeutic difficulties of this pathology, we propose the study of our observation analyzed in the literature.
