Schema therapy is meanwhile regarded as an evidence-based further developed of behavior therapy for treatment of personality disorders or dysfunctional personality traits in an outpatient setting. Studies under inpatient treatment conditions are few. This clinical study indicates a good effectiveness in a schema therapy-based short-term inpatient treatment in a psychosomatic ward under naturalistic treatment conditions.
