Abstract
Analysis of methods for improving the efficiency of shaft–seal joints of agricultural machinery has been carried out. On the basis of the theoretical studies carried out, a method for modifying rubber reinforced cuffs with organofluorine compounds has been determined. It has been proven that volumetric modification with alcohol-telomer and fluoroparaffin in the manufacturing of cuffs has significantly improved the physical and mechanical properties of rubber, such as the relative elongation, tear resistance, abrasion resistance, and Shore hardness.
