Abstract
Methods for restoring shaft surfaces to nominal sizes are analyzed. It is recommended to use the thin-walled bushing method. The research used the principles of the theory of accuracy, interchangeability, and the theory of strength of materials. The input shaft of the YaMZ-239 engine gearbox was studied. As a result of research, a technique is developed that allows one to determine the interferences and select fits that guarantee clear fixation of pressed-in thin-walled bushings on the shaft.
