Abstract
Large-area few-layer graphene was prepared by intercalation of flake graphite with C2H4O3 + H2O2 mixed solution, combined with microwave peeling method and ultrasonic dispersion technology. The prepared few-layer graphene was analyzed and characterized by XRD, SEM, Raman, TEM, FT-IR, BET, and electrochemical tests. The mechanism of "Intercalation–Exfoliation–Dispersion" was proposed, and the capacitive performance of the species was tested. The results show that a C2H4O3 + H2O2 mixing solution can deprive the electrons at the edge of the graphite layer, increasing the graphite sheet spacing. After intercalating and microwave-irradiating twice, the number of graphene layers is between 5 and 8, transparent tulle-like, with a fold-shaped appearance, and contains a small number of oxidizing groups. These species have a high specific capacitance of 629 F/g at a current density of 1 A/g and good rate performance. Unlike the traditional oxidative stripping process, no waste acid is generated in the preparation process, which reduces environmental pollution and costs.
