Abstract
Cervical cancer is the third most diagnosed and fourth most common cause of cancer death worldwide. There is established screening programme in UK since 1964. CIN2 and CIN3 were clubbed together and classified as HSIL (high grade squamous intraepithelial dysplasia). As a result CIN2 is being treated by LLETZ (large loop of excision of transformation Zone). CIN2 is the entity where there is more interobserver variation in diagnosis, thereby increasing risk of overtreatment. This can have implications to future fertility especially in younger reproductive age group. This review evaluates other alternative options available with minimal adverse effects.
