Abstract
A new, simple Maximum Entropy-Minimum Norm inversion method is devised for obtaining the energy density of states from some limited information about the partition function. An improvement upon the saddle point approximation can be obtained with the present method at low temperatures, where the saddle point approach is less accurate.
