Abstract
Climate changes threaten to exacerbate problems of mental health and social inequality. As the effects of climate change intensify, counseling professionals must come together to address it as an international concern. In this article, I discuss ways counselors can respond to climate change through counseling, advocacy, and scholarship. Specifically, I address how counseling professionals can be effective clinicians of clients with climate-related concerns, advocate for ecological sustainability and climate justice, and study the impacts of climate change on mental health.
