Abstract
In this study, the experiment was conducted to investigate the effect of turning angle and width of path on usability for wheelchair users. A total of 12 subjects (6 males and 6 females) were participated in this experiment. We measured task completion time, the number of collision, and the number of correction as objective measures and perceived fatigue, the difficulty of performance, and overall satisfaction as subjective measures while changing turning angles (30°, 60°, 90°, 120°) and widths of path (90 cm, 100 cm, 110 cm). 30°and 90cm showed the lowest usability on all of the measures. The angle and width were recommended above 90° and 100 cm in a curved path.
