Abstract
Recently, many of Geerhardus Vos’s works have come to light. In particular, as Vos’s Dogmatics was translated and published in English from 2012 to 2016, his aspect as a dogmatician began to emerge. Furthermore, Vos’s Natural Theology was published in the fall of 2022, reminding us that he was not simply a scholar of biblical theology and dogmatics, but also a theological thinker. The writings of Geerhardus Vos are preserved in the Heritage Hall of Calvin University and Theological Seminary. The Geerhardus Vos collection consists of 10 boxes of 5 cubic feet (38.5 × 12.5 × 25.8 cm), which contain 64 manuscripts. These are all materials currently unpublished, so they generally cannot be found in the libraries or are commercially unavailable. These manuscripts reveal much of what Vos taught at Theologische School van de Christelijke Gereformeerde Kerk (“Theological School of the Christian Reformed Church,” now Calvin Theological Seminary) and Princeton Theological Seminary. When we study attentively these manuscripts and other materials deposited in the Heritage Hall and the special collection of Princeton Theological Seminary, we may see that there are unknown works until now. What exactly are these works, and what are their contents and characteristics?
