Abstract
The frame stability problems have to be discussed on the basic parameters such as the strength of an overall frame, deterioration of frame stiffness, load conditions, in spite that estimation of the frame buckling load is usually done by estimating the buckling load of a single column takes out from the frame. This paper describes the buckling length coefficient (K-factor) of a column in the frame with various load distribution. A design aide chart for K-factor is also presented.
