Abstract
A process is provided for producing a copolymer latex having a gel content of 10-98% by weight, involving emulsion polymerizing
(a) 20-65% by weight of a conjugated diene compound;
(b) 0.1-10% by weight of a combination of an ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid with an ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid; and
(c) 33-79.5% by weight of at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound other than the components (a) and (b)
in the presence of (d) 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of an .alpha.-methylstyrene dimer, per 100 parts by weight of a total of components (a), (b) and (c).
(a) 20-65% by weight of a conjugated diene compound;
(b) 0.1-10% by weight of a combination of an ethylenically unsaturated monocarboxylic acid with an ethylenically unsaturated dicarboxylic acid; and
(c) 33-79.5% by weight of at least one ethylenically unsaturated compound other than the components (a) and (b)
in the presence of (d) 0.1 to 10 parts by weight of an .alpha.-methylstyrene dimer, per 100 parts by weight of a total of components (a), (b) and (c).
