Abstract
The invention relates to a pipeline 1, 34 for conducting air, in particular in a temperature range between −55° C. and +85° C. and at a differential pressure load of at most ±500 hPa relative to cabin pressure, for air conditioning in aircrafts. According to the invention, the pipeline 1, 34 is formed with a foamed plastics material and/or with a dense plastics material, one outer face 9, 36 of the pipeline and/or one inner face 17 of the pipeline comprising a wrapping 6, 37 with at least one linear reinforcing element, in particular with resin-impregnated carbon fibers or glass fibers for reinforcement, at least in certain sections. Owing to the winding 6, 37 provided for reinforcement, at least in certain sections, on the outer face 9, 36 of the pipeline and/or the inner face 17 of the pipeline, the pipeline 1, 34 can be optimally adapted to different load requirements along the section for laying, resulting in a potentially considerable reduction in weight. In particular the flexural strength or buckling strength of the pipeline 1, 34 may vary in certain sections and thus reduces the weight. Furthermore, the use of a foamed plastics material in particular for forming the pipeline 1, 34 allows a further weight reduction as the rolled-up, panel-like foamed plastics material assumes a dual function in the form of conduction of air and thermal insulation. Without the thermal insulation requirement, the pipeline 1, 34 can also be formed with a dense plastics material, for example with a thin plastic film. The pipeline 1, 34 according to the invention can also be seamlessly formed by extrusion methods.
