All of the writing assignments that make up Chapter 5 are used in public health classes. They can be adapted to many types of public health classes at the graduate and undergraduate level. The types of documents included represent the writing commonly done by public health professionals in the workplace. The professors who contributed to this section represent a wide range of disciplines including epidemiology, economics, social and behavioral sciences, and health communication and promotion. Example assignments includes: case analysis, concept notes, evidence summary, explainer article, framing memo, infographic, literature review, op-ed, policy brief, and presentation.
