Chinese, 20th century, male. Born 1900, in Taichung. Painter. Landscapes with figures. Yang Qidong was a pioneer of art in Taiwan. He was a life member of the Watercolour Society of Taiwan, and president of the Autumn and Spring Painters Club. In 1980 he founded the private Yang Ch’i-tung Museum, where around 200 of his works are on display. He took part in the Tokyo Exhibition four times and the Salon de Printemps in Paris five times, winning two bronze medals....
