German, 18th century, male. Born 6 July 1759, in Kirchberg; died 21 April 1789, in Dresden. Painter (including porcelain/gouache). History painting, portraits, flowers. David Friedrich Weller studied at the art school in Meissen, and then joined the porcelain factory in that city as a painter. He also executed flowers in oils and gouache, as well as portraits in pastel. Shortly before his death he was appointed Painter to the Court of Dresden....
