Abstract
Dutch, 19th century, male. Born 8 April 1777, in The Hague; died 5 June 1833, in Doetinchem. Painter, watercolourist, draughtsman. Genre scenes. H.J. van Amerom was a pupil of Moritz, Besters and J.-H. Prins. He settled in Arnhem and was the first teacher at the art school where he trained a number of pupils including Reyers and Pitloo.
