Abstract
German, 19th century, male. Died 7 March 1862, in Dresden. Draughtsman, engraver, miniaturist. He was the brother of Johann Nikolaus Hoff and pupil of Wendelstadt in Frankfurt. Subsequently he was based in St Petersburg and did a large number of portraits there.
