Abstract
The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of authentic leadership of special security guards on positive psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior and to draw implications necessary for developing authentic leadership of special security organizations. Data were collected through questionnaires from 309 special security guards, and the data were processed using the SPSS 24.0 program. In addition, the effect of authentic leadership of special security guards on positive psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior was examined through the structural equation model, and the mediating effect analysis of positive psychological capital was bootstrapping. The effects of authentic leadership on positive psychological capital and organizational citizenship behavior and the mediating effect of positive psychological capital on the relationship between authentic leadership and organizational citizenship behavior are investigated. Authenticity leadership had a direct effect on positive psychological capital, and positive psychological capital had a direct effect on organizational citizenship behavior. Authentic leadership did not appear to have a direct effect on organizational citizenship behavior, and it was found to have an indirect effect on organizational citizenship behavior through positive psychological capital. Based on the results of this study, continuous development education and management will be required so that human-centered leadership such as authentic leadership can be demonstrated.
