Abstract
Imazamox,awidelyusedherbicide,iscurrentlymanagedbythePesticideMRLsandPositiveListSystemoftheMinistryofFoodandDrugSafety,andthedevelopmentofreliablestandardmaterialsforanalysisisurgentlyrequired.Toconfirmthereliabilityofthemassbalancemethod,wemeasuredthepurityoftheimazamoxreferencematerial(RM)certifiedbyanRMproduceraccreditedwithISOGuide34andestimatedmeasurementuncertainty.Accordingtothismethod,thecontentofstructurallysimilarorganicimpuritieswasmeasuredusinghigh-performanceliquidchromatographiccoupledwithultraviolet(HPLC-UV),andthemoisture,volatileimpurities,andnon-volatileimpuritieswerequantitativelyanalyzedusingathermogravimetricanalyzer(TGA).PurityandmeasurementuncertaintywerecalculatedbasedonanalysisoftheHPLC-UVandTGAresultsobtained,andthevalidityofthesevalueswasconfirmedbycomparingwiththevaluesprovidedintheRMcertificate.
