본 연구는 언론 보도에 나타난 여성 장애인 스포츠 관련 이슈를 분석하고, 추후 여성 장애인 스포츠 발전 방향에 대한 시사점을 제공하는 것에 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 한국언론진흥재단 언론DB(빅카인즈)를 활용하여 1990년 1월 1일부터 2023년 8월 31일까지 여성 장애인과 스포츠를 키워드로 검색되는 언론기사를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료 중 관련 없는 기사를 제외하여 총 2,121건의 기사를 연구자료로 선정하였으며, 분석을 위해 토큰화와 불용어 처리 등 텍스트 전처리 절차를 거쳤다. 적절한 토픽수를 결정하기 위해 Coherence Score를 산출하여 토픽수를 6개로 선정하였으며, 모든 자료처리는 구글 코랩(Colab)을 사용하였다. 본 연구의 결과에 따르면, ‘장애 여학생을 위한 스포츠 교육’, ‘여성 장애인을 위한 지역사회 스포츠 문화 조성’, ‘여성 패럴림피언’, ‘전국 장애인 체육대회와 여성 스포츠인,’ ‘장애인 스포츠 시설건립으로의 스포츠 복지 실현’, ‘여성 장애인 스포츠 인권 문제’가 여성 장애인 스포츠 관련 이슈로 나타났다. 이러한 연구 결과에 근거하여 여성 장애인 스포츠 활성화를 위한 시사점을 제안하였다. 본 연구의 결과는 여성, 장애인, 스포츠라는 소외된 영역에 대한 사회적 여론을 도출하여 발전방향을 제시하였다는 점에서 의미가 있다.
The purpose of this study was to analyze issues related to women with disabilities in sport as reported in the meida and to provide implications for the future development of sport for women with disabilities. To achieve this goal, news articles related to women with disabilities and sport were collected using the Korea Press Promotion Foundation(BigKines) from January 1, 1990 to August 31, 2023. A total of 2,121 articles were selected after excluding irrelevant ones. Text preprocessing procedures, including tokenization and stop-word removal, were conducted for analysis. To determine an appropriate number of topics, the Coherence Score was calculated, resulting in the selection of six topics. All data processing was performed using Google Colab. Issues related to sport for women with disabilities include; "Sports Education for Female Students with Disabilities," "Promoting Local Sports Culture for Women with Disabilities," "Female Athletes in Paralympics," "National Para Sport Games and Female Athletes with Disabilities," "Realizing Sports Welfare through the Construction of Disability Sports Facilities," and "Human Rights Issues in Sports for Women with Disabilities." Based on the findings of this study, discussions and directions for promoting women with disabilities sport were suggested. The significance of this study lies in eliciting social opinions on the marginalized domains of women, individuals with disabilities, and sport, thereby proposing directions for development.
