본 연구는 청소년의 학교생활적응 및 부모 양육행동유형이 삶의 만족도에 미치는 영향을 알아보고, 학교생활적응과 삶의 만족도 사이의 관계에서 부모의 양육행동유형에 따른 조절효과가 있는지 분석하기 위해 수행되었다. 연구대상자는 한국아동·청소년패널조사 1차 데이터를 사용하여 전국을 대표하는 중학교 1학년생 2,351명을 대상으로 조사하였다. 연구결과, 학교생활 적응과 부모의 양육행동(애정, 감독, 합리적 설명, 비일관성, 과잉기대, 과잉간섭)은 각각 청소년의 삶의 만족도를 예측하는 변수임이 확인되었다. 다음으로 부모의 양육행동 중 애정, 비일관성, 과잉간섭방식이 청소년의 학교생활적응과 삶의 만족도 사이의 관계를 조절하는 것으로 나타났다. 이는 학교생활에 잘 적응하더라도 부모의 애정적 양육행동 수준이나 양육의 비일관성, 과잉간섭의 정도에 따라 청소년의 삶의 만족도가 다르게 나타난다는 것을 시사한다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로 가정 내 부모의 양육행동유형은 학교생활적응이 청소년의 삶의 만족도를 향상시키는 정도에 영향을 미치는 중요한 요인임을 알 수 있다.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of school adjustment on life satisfaction of middle school students and confirm the moderating effects of perceived parental behavior. This study used data from the first wave of Korean Children and Youth Panel Survey(KCYPS). The subject of this study were 2,351 students of 1st grade in middle school. The result of this study is as following. First, both school adjustment and perceived parental behavior(affection, monitoring, reasonable parenting behavior, parental inconsistency, over-expectation, parental intrusiveness) significantly predicted life satisfaction of adolescents. In other words, the students with high levels of school adjustment, affection, monitoring, resonable behavior and low levels of parental inconsistency, over-expectation, intrusiveness showed higher life satisfaction. Second, the each of three parenting behavior(affection, inconsistency, parental intrusiveness) had moderate effect on relationship between school adjustment and life satisfaction. The result means that life satisfaction among adolescents effected by the levels of school adjustment could be changed according to some types of parental behaviors, which are parental affection, inconsistency and intrusiveness. It suggests that not only school adjustment but also parental behavior is important factor for adolescents’ life satisfaction.
