본 연구는 집단음악치료 프로그램이 발달장애 취업준비생의 공감능력 향상에 미치는 영향을 알아보기 위해 실시되었다. 연구 대상자는 발달장애 취업준비생 14명으로 실험집단 8명, 통제집단 6명이 무선 배치되었다. 음악치료 프로그램은 총 12회기로 이루어졌으며, 프로그램의 효과성을 알아보기 위해 실험집단과 통제집단에 공감척도를 사전-사후 측정한 후 SPSS 20.0 통계프로그램을 사용하여 비교분석 하였다. 프로그램이 통계적으로 유의미한 효과가 있는지 알아보기 위해 Ranked ANCOVA를 사용하여 실험집단과 통제집단 간의 사전-사후점수에 대한 추이를 알아보았다. 연구 결과, 집단음악치료 프로 그램에 참여한 발달장애 취업준비생 실험집단은 참여하지 않은 통제집단과 공감능력에 있어 집단 간 통계적으로 유의미한 차이(p<.05)를 보였으며, 사전-사후 변화의 추이에서 실험집단은 통계적으로 유의미한 차이(p< .05)를 보이며 공감능력이 향상된 반면, 통제집단은 평균점수가 오히려 감소하며 유의미한 차이(p >.05)를 보이지 않았다. 이러한 연구 결과는 집단음악치료 프로그램이 발달장애 취업준비생의 공감능력 향상을 위한 효과적인 중재방안이 될 수 있음을 시사한다.
This study was conducted to investigate the impact of a group music therapy program on empathetic ability for job applicants with developmental disability. The subjects were 14 job applicants with developmental disability, and of them, eight were randomly assigned to an experimental group and six, to a control group. The music therapy programs is a total of 12 sessions. Using SPSS 20.0 program, the comparative analysis was conducted between the experimental group and the control group before and after the program. To examine if the program would have a statistically significant effect, Ranked ANCOVA was conducted to examine the change of the pre-post test scores in the experimental group and the control group. The results of the study, there was statistically significant difference(p<.05) in their empathic ability between the experimental group, who participated the group music therapy program, and the control group. In addition, in the change between the pre-test and the post-test score, the empathic ability improved in the experimental group, showing a statistically significant difference(p< .05), while the average score rather decreased in the control group, not showing significant difference(p >.05). This result of the study suggests that a group music therapy program can be an effective intervention for improving the empathic ability of job applicants with developmental disability.
