This paper explores foreign cases in the intersection of dance and computer coding. This study examines computational thinking and coding-related concepts and education, and characteristics of the combined dance cases, drawing on literature reviews and internet search and analysis. The cases are categorized into three types of ‘play’, ‘research and education’, and ‘performance’, and show collaboration and scientific approaches to movement and choreography. This paper makes Korean dance world aware of the importance of coding education and contributes to developing interdisciplinary practices of dance and coding.
