Abstract
심리학연구에서의 종속변인 측정도구로 한국어 언어학적 단어 분석 프로그램 K-LIWC의 사용은 의미 있게 축적되어 오고 있다. 커뮤니케이션학과 저널리즘은 음성언어와 문자언어를 매개체로 이루어져 있기에 연구 관심에 따라서 언어분석프로그램이 주요 연구 도구로서 사용될 수 있다. 본 고찰에서는 한국어 텍스트 분석프로그램의 주요 단계별 개발과정과 주요특성들을 소개하였다. 특히, 언어학적인 변인들이 가지는 장점을 포함하여 언어분석프로그램의 특장점을 소개하였다. 아울러 K-LIWC를 사용하여 커뮤니케이션학과 저널리즘에서 행해진 관련연구들을 알아보고 향후 어떠한 주제에 있어서 언어 분석이 유용할 수 있는지를 논의하였다.
Substantial amounts of research have been accumulated by the attempt to use the K-LIWC (Korean Linguistic Inquiry and Word Count) as the dependent measure in conducting psychological research. Mass communication and Journalism’s mediums are spoken language and written language, so the language analysis program can be used as a main research tool depending on the topic of interest. The process of development and main characteristics of the Korean text analysis have been introduced. The strong points of K-LIWC analysis programs have been described including the value of the linguistic variables. In addition, related studies that used the language analysis including K-LIWC in mass communication and journalism are reviewed. Future directions for using the language program in the fields are discussed.
