본 연구의 목적은 초등학생 자녀의 인터넷 게임 과몰입 예방을 위한 부모역할 훈련 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 검증하는데 있다. 프로그램 효과 검증을 위해 사전-사후 부모의 인터넷 게임에 대한 태도, 부모-자녀간 의사소통, 청소년 인터넷 중독 진단, 자기통제력을 조사하였다. 자료를 공변량 분석(ANCOVA) 한 결과, 실험집단은 통제집단에 비해 인터넷 게임에 대한 태도, 부모-자녀간 의사소통, 자기통제력의 점수가 향상되었으며, 인터넷 중독 관찰자 점수는 감소한 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 자녀의 인터넷 게임 사용의 적극적인 관리자로서 부모 역할의 필요성 인식과 직접적인 지도, 관리의 역할 훈련을 내용으로 하는 인터넷 게임 과몰입 예방을 위한 부모역할 훈련 프로그램을 개발하고 그 효과를 검증하였다는 점에서 의의가 있다.
The purpose of this research was to develop parent education program for prevention of internet-game immersion. The results of the study first indicate that the experimental group was significantly improved parent's attitudes of internet-game than the control groups. Second, the experimental group showed a significant improvement parent-child communication. Furthermore, the experimental group was significantly improved the perceived behavior problems related to children's internet overuse and children's self-control. So, this results showed effectiveness to prevention of internet-game immersion. Finally, it suggested some limitations and further research implications.
