본 논문은 개혁주의 성경신학자인 게르할더스 보스의 전체 신학 체계가 하나님 중심적인 성격을 가질 뿐만 아니라, 이러한 하나님 중심적 신학 체계의 원리적인 근거가 그의 삼위일체론에 놓여 있음을 밝히는 것을 목적으로 한다. 보스는 초자연적으로 계시된 특별계시, 곧 성경으로부터 언약적 구속사를 그리스도 중심적으로 도출해내고, 이 언약적 구속사가 지향하는 최종적 지점을 종말론적으로 사유함으로써 하나님 중심적 신학사상을 정립하였다. 그런데 하나님 중심적 신학사상의 통일적 일관성을 형성하는 근본원리는 그의 삼위일체론에 놓여 있다. 이처럼 하나님 중심적 신학사상이 그의 삼위일체론에 원리적으로 근거한다는 의미 맥락을 따라 보스의 삼위일체론은 하나님 중심적 삼위일체론으로 규정될 수 있다. 구체적으로 말해서, 보스의 하나님 중심적 삼위일체론은 세 가지 주요한 특질을 가지는데, 정통적-언약적-종말론적 특질이 바로 그것이다. 결국, 보스는 삼위일체론을 통해 자신의 신학사상 전체를 하나님 중심적으로 구축해 나감으로써 개혁주의에 커다란 신학적 공헌을 남기고 있다.
The purpose of this article is to reveal that the whole theological system of Geerhardus Vos, a reformed biblical theologian, is not only God-centered but also that the principle basis of this God-centered theological system lies in his Trinitarianism. Vos derived the covenantal redemptive history in a Christocentric way from the Bible, a supernaturally revealed special revelation, and established his God-centered theological thought by eschatologically thinking about the final point of this covenantal redemptive history. In other words, Vos’s Trinitarianism lies the fundamental principle that forms the unifying coherence of his God-centered theological system. In this context, Vos’s Trinitarianism can be defined as theocentric Trinitarianism. This theocentric Trinitarianism of Vos has three main qualities, the Orthodox-Covenantal-Eschatological Characteristics of which are the same. In the end, Vos made a great theological contribution to Reformed Theology by constructing his entire theological thought in a God-centered way through the Trinitarianism.
