The results of the analysis are as follows.First, the Gugak orchestral music "Song of Jilmajae" is an orchestral piece depicting "Song of Jilmajae", one of the poems written by poet Seo Jeong-ju. It was developed according to the progress of the melody and instrument characteristics, such as expanding the range through semi-progress, dividing the rhythm using attachments, reducing and imitating the melody of orchestral music, exchanging conversations, assigning supporting roles to vertical harmony and horizontal melody, and overlapping instruments. As such, "Song of Jilmajae" is a work that presents how to unravel the melody of traditional music with the grammar of modern music. It and has added some variations to its harmony according to the change in tonality and melody structure. It is a piece of music composed of various elements of orchestral instrument, such as contrapuntal elements, changes in rhythm and rhythm, and various acoustic effects according to the characteristics of musical instruments, suggesting the way of developing Korean traditional orchestral music and its infinite possibilities.
