Abstract
This research aims to develop a digital textbook about transpiration in plants in high school biology subjects and test its effectiveness. Digital textbooks use Pages as a development tool. Pages is one of the applications produced by Apple; this application provides a variety of book templates and multimedia such as galleries, videos, audio, shapes, etc., that can be used efficiently for novice developers. Digital textbooks were also developed with other applications such as Thinglink and Google Docs, Padlet, and Quizizz.Participants in this study involved 60 students of grade XI science in two different classrooms. One class of 30 students used digital textbooks, while another class of 30 students used traditional textbooks to study biology on plant transpiration content. Students in both classes were given a pre-test and post-test with the same questions before and after treatment and asked the students learning satisfaction and teacher opinion on using digital textbooks. Data were analyzed using a descriptive statistic and T-test.The analysis results are shown by the student's learning achievement on the content of learning transpiration from the post-test results. The control group average was 6.10, the experimental group was 7.30, with a p-value
