Mega event industry is becoming a popular industry around the world due to its benefits in economic, social, and cultural contexts; however, Guatemala presents a lack of strategies using this industry in its development plan. Thus, this study aims to hierarchically evaluate the elements that can contribute to activate a successful and sustainable multicultural festival in Guatemala; therefore, AHP method was utilized due to its benefits in assessing, forecasting and prioritizing elements in arising industries. The results highlighted the elements that involve practical activities of partnership-sponsorship and pre-production than the elements related to governmental direct support and changes on policies. This prioritized elements will contribute to create awareness to governmental institutions and stakeholders about the industry overall benefits in tourism, economy, opportunities in the culture- art field, and social integration.
메가 이벤트 산업은 경제적, 사회적 및 문화적 맥락에서 그 이익으로 인해 전 세계적으로 인기있는 산업으로 부상하고 있다.그러나 과테말라의 개발 계획에서는 메가 이벤트 산업의 활성화를 위한 전략이 부재하다. 따라서이 연구는 과테말라에서 성공적이고 지속 가능한 다문화 축제를 활성화하는데 기여할 수있는 요소를 계층 적으로 평가하는 것을 목표로한다. 따라서 AHP 방법은 발생한 업계의 요소를 평가, 예측 및 우선 순위 지정하는 데 있어서의 이점 때문에 활용되었다. 그 결과는 정부의 직접 지원 및 정책 변경과 관련된 요소보다 후원 및 후발 생산의 실질적인 활동을 포함하는 요소를 강조했다.이 우선 순위 요소는 정부 기관 및 이해 관계자에게 관광 산업, 경제, 문화 예술 분야에서의 기회 및 사회적 통합에 대한 업계의 전반적인 이익에 대한 인식을 재고하는 데 기여한다.
