외국어의 학습은 교사의 지도도 중요하지만 학습자의 자발적인 노력이 더 중요하다. 학습자의 자발성을 조장하기 위해서는 학습자들의 주제에 대한 선호도에 적합한 내용을 선정하는 것이 매우 중요하다. 따라서 중국인 학습자들의 흥미에 적합한 내용을 선정하는 데 도움이 되기 위해 먼저 학습자들의 선호도에 관한 연구가 선행되어야 한다. 본 연구는 중국인 학습자들이 선호하는 한국어 교재의 주제와 실제 교재의 주제 선정 현황을 밝히고 향후 교재 주제의 선정에 있어 기초자료를 제공하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이러한 목적을 달성하기 위해서 중국 요녕성의 2개 고등학교 180명의 학생들을 중심으로 설문조사를 실시하였다. 이어서 현재 많이 쓰이는 대표적인 교재의 단원 주제 선정 현황을 알아보기 위해 『標準韓國語』, 『韓國語』, 『연세한국어』와 『경희 한국어 읽기』 교재를 분석하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, 전체학습자는 자신이 친숙한 주제를 선호하는 결과가 나왔다. 선호도가 높은 주제들은 취미와 여가(취미와 여가, 개인적 관심사), 생활4(하루생활, 한국생활 등), 가족(가족, 집안일, 연애 및 결혼), 생활6(운동, 스포츠) 순으로 나타났다. 둘째, 성별에 따르면, 남성 학습자들이 생활6(운동, 스포츠), 과학발전, 건축 등 주제를 더 선호하고, 여성학습자들이 가족(가족, 집안일, 연애 및 결혼), 생활1(음식과 요리, 집과 거주 등), 물건사기(쇼핑, 시장 등) 주제를 더 선호하는 차이를 보였다. 셋째, 분석한 모든 교재에서 주제 선정에 있어서 학습자의 선호도를 충분히 고려하지 못한 문제를 보였고 일부 교재에서는 성별적 불평등 문제가 보였다. 제언을 정리하면, 교재의 주제는 학생들에게 학습동기를 유발할 수 있으며, 성별적 불평등 문제가 존재하지 않게 선정해야 한다. 또한, 학습자가 선호하는 주제들이 교재의 읽기, 듣기, 말하기 자료의 주제로 많이 활용할 수 있도록 만들어져야 한다.
In the process of foreign language learning, compared with the teacher's guidance, student's personal efforts is more important. In order to improve students' enthusiasm, those themes that students interested in should be selected into the textbooks.The purpose of this study is to understand the themes that students interest in and analyze the actual topics of the textbooks. The information will help teachers and textbook writers to choose the content appropriate for students' interests. A questionnaire was administered to a total of 180 high-school students. These students are from their own schools in Liao ning province of China. And in order to know the topics of the Korean textbooks, 4 Korean textbooks were analysed whose are "Standard Korean", "Korean", "Yonsei Korean" and "Get it Korean Reading".The research findings are as follows:First, Students were interested in the topics that they are more familiar with, such as hobby, daily life, family, exercise and so on.Second, the boys are more interested in topics of exercise, technology, building. But the girls were more interested in topics of family, cooking, shopping and so on.Third, all of the 4 textbooks existed the problem that they didn't fully reflect the students interests. And 3 of them had the phenomenon of gender inequality.In conclusion, topic interests is a very important factor to students and developing materials. There should be no gender inequality in the textbooks. What's more, the themes that students like should be used as topics of reading, listening, speaking materials,
