Abstract
In this study, the basic Fortran program used in static and dynamic analysis of bridge was changed as Matlab program, increased utilization and convenience of the existed program (Hwang, 1990). In this program, new algorithms of damping effect and algorithm for signal truck load were added and the results were compared with real bridge. First, bridge was modeled by using the equation of motion, and then single truck and semi truck were modeled by using the equation of motion of vehicle. Also, dynamic response in dynamic analysis was calculated by using the Newmark β – method in time step analysis.To examine the accuracy of the program, maximum static deflection (obtained from static truck load impact on the center of the bridge) calculated from two-span psc box girder modeling was compared to the results of Midas Civil 2012 bridge modeling. Validity of the program’s static and dynamic analysis on other bridge was examined by comparing and analyzing curve shapes from static response and dynamic response.In the study of parameters, dynamic deflections were calculated and investigated according to the increase of moving load velocity as a variable and damping ratio of bridge structure also as a variable, separately. The results showed that impact of the velocity on the dynamic deflection was larger than damping ratio. And the results obtained by modeling real bridge and modeling moving load were showed a certain difference value from the actual data of real bridge. The reason of this error was due to having no material property of road surface roughness and moving load. Thus, to get much more perfect results by applying Matlab program to real bridge, some supplementations were needed.
