This study aimed to find out the cultural differences through the family narrative in dramas with the subject matter of remake drama which were produced in Korea, China and Japan. To compare the cultural differences among the three versions, the narrative study which includes the syntagmatic analysis and paradigmatic analysis was used as the method of the research. The cultural differences among Korea, China and Japan were compared by analyzing the narration structure and the characters' relationship in the family narrative. This study verified that though there were many common points in family structure, family narrative and family relationship among the three visions, the obvious differences were also founded in four aspects including value system, gender role, parent-child communication and collectivism. The cultural differences were related to the history development and the social institutions of each country.
본 연구에서는 경제적 성장이 많이 이루어진 현실 사회를 배경으로 한 리메이크 드라마 를 연구대상으로 선정하여 한·중·일 삼국의 문화적 차이에 초점을 두어 각 버전에 나타난 가족 서사를 통해서 국가별 문화적 차원을 비교 분석한다. 이에 서사 연구의 분석틀을 적용하여 통합체 분석과 계열체 분석을 통해서 세 개 버전에 나타난 가족 이야기는 각 버전의 서사 구조에 어떠한 역할을 하는지, 이를 통해 재현된 가족 구성원들의 성격이 어떤지, 가족 구성원들 사이의 관계가 어떻게 이루어지는지, 그리고 그중에서 어떠한 국가별 문화적 차이가 보일 수 있는지를 알아봤다. 연구결과, 세 개 버전에 나타난 가족 구조 형태와 가족 서사의 초점, 그리고 가족 관계 등 측면에 동통점이 있으나 인생관과 가치관, 남녀 성역할의 구분, 부모와 자녀 간의 관계, 그리고 집단주의의 수용 정도 등 네 가지 측면에 차이점을 발견하였다. 이러한 문화적 차이는 각 나라의 역사 발전, 사회 제도 등에 의해서 형성된다.
