Abstract
This is a study about the polished stone dagger that has grip(yubyun gsikmajesekgum), and the object of study is limited to the southern part of the Korean Peninsula. The polished stone dagger that has grip (yubyungsikmajesekgum) is the most vigorous part with the studies of Dolmen, especially about recording chronologically and regional distinction. However there were no the concrete study about relation of stone dagger form. Furthermore even through regional distinction study, they described that the southern part of the Korean Peninsula is an extent, so we need multiple study about the polished stone dagger that has grip. First of all I examined the relation between stone dagger with stage on middle of grip(yudanbyungsik) and stone dagger without stage(mudanbyungsik), and classified into their forms as standard on a level with attributes. I examined development of the stone dagger with stage on middle of grip(yudanbyungsik) with separation as several regional parts in the southern part of the Korean Peninsula, because the stone daggers with stage on middle of grip(yudanbyungsik) have an intensive distribution around the basin of the Nakdonggang. It may be summarized as follows. I extracted attributes according to standard as grinding technique by classification of from. I fix 4 different forms for the stone dagger with stage on middle of grip(yudanbyungsik) and 5 different forms for the stone dagger without stage(mudanbyungsik) with extarcated attributes. I judge that 4 different forms for the stone dagger with stage on middle of grip(yudanbyungsik) which are in same system according to distributed aspects and decorations at middle of grip have the time as Ⅰ가․ Ⅰ나→Ⅰ다→Ⅰ라, and they can be divided into 2 phases. The stone dagger without stage(mudanbyungsik) is the earliest form of all, and its genealogy was found from Ⅰ가 of the stone dagger with stage on middle of grip (yudanbyungsik) through comparision of attributes and with arrowhead. Another 4 forms were created and developed with intimate relations between the stone dagger with stage on middle of grip(yudanbyungsik). Except Ⅱ라․Ⅱ마 forms, I divided into Ⅱ가form as 3phase, Ⅱ나 and Ⅱ다form 2phase by association and correlation with guard․tip point of grip․projecting degree. Each phases that was divided from yudanbyungsik and mudanbyungsik were formed recording chronologically roughly through association with the stone dagger. The stone dagger with stage on middle of grip(yudanbyungsik) except Ⅰ가 form were concentrated on the basin of the Nakdonggang, and each forms in the stone dagger without stage(mudanbyungsik) have difference on regional distinction. I formed 5 different regional parts that based on distribution and geographical boundary, and classified archaeological features with associated artifacts. Through this process, I studied developmental aspects of the polished stone dagger according to regional distinction. As a result I recognized that the advent of the polished stone dagger and vogue period was different, and even during same period aspects of regional was appeared dissimilar. In the basin of the Nakdonggang, the polished stone dagger was stayed up till late. The most clear distinction is that the stone dagger with stage on middle of grip(yudanbyungsik) was appeared intensively in this region, so this group can be the group that have specific form of the stone dagger with stage on middle of grip(yudanbyungsik). The basin of the Youngsan river․the basin of the Bosung river․the basin of the Sumjin river have no the stone dagger on period 1, the stone dagger without stage(mudanbyungsik) appeared on period 2. The stone dagger was appeared from period 1 to period 2 on the basin of the Kum river. On the the basin of the Han river, there existed the stone dagger form period 1 to period 2, but the excavated articles were not many, and there were no stone dagger from burials. There were no stone dagger around the Yongdonghaeankeun after period 1. There was correlation around product technique of stone dagger with each regions. The basin of the Kum river and the basin of the Nakdong river has close relation as interaction with stone dagger, pottery and burials. The basin of the Youngsan river․the basin of the Bosung river․the basin of the Sumjin river have no stone dagger during period 1, those regions received the polished stone dagger that has grip (yubyungsikmajesekgum), and it became localization after period 1. Through this study, I form a conclusion that the polished stone dagger that has grip (yubyungsikmajesekgum) has regional distinction by the process as appearance, development and disappearance. I think that difference from regional distinction can be told as difference from groups through the way of use and characteristics. However I can't correct at this stage of study, and I expect result about regional distinction through complex and systematic study afterwards.
