Abstract
In the rapid growth of the global movie industry, the global movie resource allocation has increasingly carried weight. In particular, Hollywood’s globalization strategy not only steadily brings other nation’s cultural resources. But also successfully reconstructs the commercial movies from different countries. Facing the resource depletion, China innovated boldly in the remake of the American movie (1957).This article takes the movie as a text in the vision of the Trans-Culture dissemination study through a comparison between the Chinese movie the American movie (1957) and Chinese movie (2015). The analysis encompasses plot, subject, character of the two movies, aiming to identify the similarities and differences. Applying the Edward Hall’s Cultural Theory and the intertextuality to the remake of (1957). It reveals that (2015) combines Chinese emotional depiction and political background with the characteristic of American movie. First, the paper summarizes the motivation and results of remake movie, meanwhile, analysis the reception aesthetics distinguish between the classical movie and original movie from four facets include aeceptions aesthetic, creative environment, and art element. In the second chapter, analysis of the American movie from four aspects. Narrative method, the public psychology, psychoanalysis, and ideology. The third chapter, a comparison of two movies (1957) and (2015) is mainly drawn from the perspective of the plot, cultural background, subject, character. Finally, the conclusion is drawn in the fifth chapter, which arrivesat a summary of this study.
