Abstract
This doctoral dissertation explores the development of a gamification-based contemporary art creation education model for enhancing creative thinking. With the rapid advancement of digital and artificial intelligence technologies, there is a growing need for individuals who can create new value by combining innovative and future-oriented technologies. The proposed education model aims to provide an alternative solution for individuals who lack prior art education or have insufficient artistic abilities. The research is based on Root-Bernstein's thinking tools and previous studies on gamification in education. The model was developed through a series of qualitative and quantitative analyses, including surveys, satisfaction evaluations, and analysis of work results. The study focuses on enhancing creativity, problem-solving skills, and collaboration abilities through game-based learning and aesthetic experience-based methods. It incorporates game-based learning techniques that encourage students to approach art creation with a sense of playfulness and experimentation. By introducing elements of competition, collaboration, and feedback mechanisms, the model aims to increase student motivation and participation. The theoretical background section discusses the relationship between creative thinking and contemporary art education. The research problem section identifies the need for a new approach to art education that can accommodate the changing technological landscape. The research methodology section outlines the process used to develop the gamification-based education model. The research findings suggest that the Root-Bernstein's thinking tools and gamification-based education model has a positive impact on students' creative thinking abilities. Students who participated in the program reported increased confidence in their artistic abilities and a greater willingness to take risks in their creative work. The model was also found to be effective in promoting collaboration skills, as students were encouraged to work together on group projects.Overall, this study contributes to the field of contemporary art education by proposing a new approach that leverages gamification techniques to enhance creative thinking skills. This approach has significant implications for individuals seeking to develop their artistic abilities in an increasingly technology-driven world.
