Abstract
본고는 한중 영화번역에 대하여 실제 사례 분석을 통하여 영상번역 분야에서 최적의 적합성을 설명함으로 영화 번역은 적합성 이론에 따라 이루어지는 것이 효과적이라고 중명하고, 그리고 영화 번역자가 보다 효과적이게 번역을 위하여 자막번역의 평가기준을 제시해 보았다. 한중 양국의 교류가 나날이 빈번해짐에 따라 대량의 영상 작품들이 중국으로 진입하였다. 그러나 수입 영상물이 증가하는 추세에도 불구하고 영상번역에 관한 학문적인 연구는 많지는 많다. 따라서 이러한 추세에 따라 영상번역에 관한 학문적인 연구는 시급히 중요시를 요하는 것이다. 본 연구는 실제 영화에서 나온 예문을 통해서 한국 영화의 중국어 자막번역을 연구하였다. 영화 번역의 내용적인 측면으로 주제를 국한하였으므로 영화 번역에 나타난 모든 현상들을 적합성 이론으로 설명할 수 있다는 결론을 내리려면 시기상조다. 그리고 영화 대본 수집의 한계로 인해 인용된 예문의 양이 부족하다는 아쉬움이 있으며 제시된 적합성의 판단기준도 실험을 많이 볼 필요성이 있다고 본다. 후서 연구에서는 보다 다양한 유형의 영화 작품을 가지고 분석하며 가능하면 더빙 번역과 자막 번역을 비교해서 연구를 진행함으로 영상 번역의 형식과 상관없이 변역에 있는 모든 현상들은 적합성 이론으로 설명할 수 있는지에 대한 연구도 과제로 남긴다.
This article explains about the most compatibility in the fields of the Korean-Chinese video film translation by analyzing the real case studies. Through this explanation, the article proves that the video film translation is effective if the translation is processed with the Relevance theory. Moreover, in order for the translators to translate more effectively, this article suggests the evaluation criteria for subtitle translation. As the trade between Korea and China gradually increases, a large amount of film works have imported from Korea to China. However, unlike the trend of increasing amount of imported films, there are not much academic research on video film translation. In field of translation, interest of video film translation is much less than literature's. In reality, both China and Korea's research level on video film translation is relatively low. Therefore, it is crucial to realize the importance of academic research on video film translation reflecting on the trend of increasing popularity of Korean dramas in China. This article (research) focusing on the research of the Korean movie subtitle translation into Chinese with examples from the actual movies. Since the topic is limited with the contents of movie film translation, it is too early to conclude whether all of phenomena appeared in the movie film translation can be explained with the Relevance theory or not. In addition, due to the limited collection of movie film script, unfortunately, the amount of quoted examples was not enough. In further studies, the research will analyze with more diversity of movie film types and, if possible, continue researching through comparison between the translations of dubbing and subtitles to find out if the all of phenomena can be explained with the Relevance theory regardless of the type of film translation.
