This is a study of syntactic categorial status and internal structure of small clauses in English. I have reviewed two small clause analysis within Government-Binding Theory. And then, I have proposed that AGRP, PrP and TP analysis should be adopted as an optical analysis for small clause constructions. Small clause analyses within the Government-Binding Theory cannot account for the agreement relation that holds between subjects and predicates of small clause. To solve some problems of these theories, I applied to AGRP, PrP and TP analysis in English small clauses.To solve some problems that AGRP, PrP analysis have I proposed TP analysis. Taking subcategorized Small clause to be TPs seems worth pursuing insome detail since it is compatible economy conditions that require that syntactic representations formed in the course of a derivation should be as simple as possible, consisting of a minimal number of syntactic objects.TP is the best analyses as a categorial status of small clause and this analysis corresponds with 'Economy Conditions', the main and significant derivational constraints of Miminalism.
